Craft Blog Content Writing
I didn’t touch a sewing machine for two years after selling my sewing blog. Crafting felt more like a job than a source of joy. Are you in that boat now? Let me take some work off your overflowing plate to give you time to do what brought you to this point - creating!
Why do you need a Blog Content Writer?
It is easy to get burned out on a hobby after turning it into a business. Not only do you have to make the recipe or craft, then there is photographing process steps, editing the photos, writing the tutorial, creating social media content, emailing your list, responding to comments, not to mention all the backend work no one sees like inventory, accounting and sponsor regulations.
My favorite blogging task is pulling all the pieces of a post together from photos to keywords, writing a workable tutorial to strategically placing links so it is ready to hit publish. I built and sold three blogs worth over $100K with the most recent selling in 2021. Since then, it has been my honor to work behind the scenes on other people’s craft and food blogs.
Blog Content Strategy
A website serves as the central information hub for your business. To maintain an effective and engaging site, it is essential to display a consistent brand identity, adhere to search engine optimization (SEO) best practices and regularly update content.
What Exactly Does a Blog Content Writer Do?
Content writing for your food or craft blog will mirror your voice, your brand and your standards. I will ensure grammatical accuracy and adhere to the latest SEO guidelines, focusing on keywords and helpfulness.
This includes maintaining a consistent tone and voice, using appropriate headings, fonts and colors and integrating visual elements. A well-designed site with a blog encourages longer visits, more page visits and increased user interaction to enhance the site’s SEO value and domain authority.
Readers will never know you didn’t write and post the content yourself. It will be our little secret.
Pricing for Content Writing
Let’s get that never-ending list of blog posts actually posted. I’ll research keywords, upload photos, write long-form articles, include appropriate links, and optimize content for search engines.
How Much Does Blog Content Writing Cost?
Pricing is set at $60 per post with a minimum of 10 posts. This limits the number of clients I serve to ensure each blog receives the proper quality care and attention. I want to make sure I learn your brand guidelines and expectations, and post stellar crafting content designed to increase your traffic and revenue.

Updating Old Blog Content
All website content should be reviewed and updated regularly to ensure it remains current, accurate and engaging. Analytics and performance data can be used to make informed decisions about content updates, website improvements and SEO strategies.
Business owners should continuously strive to optimize their website’s performance and user experience based on the insights gained from analytics, but who has the time??
Why Update Old Blog Content?
It doesn’t take long for digital blog content to become old. Embedded links stop working, and keywords become stale. Updating previously posted content helps it remain seen by search engines and lucrative for you. Hire me to research new keywords, update links and re-write posts to keep your site current. The cost is $50 per post with a minimum of 10 posts.

My Story
the quiet, crafty kid
I learned that I was good at crafting and could make money from it at an early age. Custom polymer clay figurines were a hit with my mom’s coworkers when I was in middle school. Complex dioramas scored attention and high marks in high school. College brought about my first business and blog selling personalized lip balm wedding favors.
The grownup career
Armed with two degrees in public administration, I worked a heart-filling career in grant writing that secured over $250 million for various causes throughout Arizona. Grant money was the building block for developing and sustaining programs that housed the unhoused, sheltered domestic violence victims, treated mental health and substance abuse issues, etc.
the millennial side hustle
Creating something was always happening after hours. In true millennial fashion, I held a job while concurrently working crafty side hustles to make ends meet. My blog on RV life made it possible to leave my day job. The following sewing blog purchased my home. Working on food and craft businesses owned by other people continues to support myself and my son.
My Why
In late 2019 I found myself with a toddler, soon to be divorced, in a new state where I didn’t know a soul, and then the world quite literally shut down.
Work from food and craft bloggers kept food on my table.
While infinitely grateful for the steady computer gigs, it became apparent that my mental health needed to get out of our half-renovated house.
As my son started school, I accepted a part-time job as executive director for a downtown development organization that was just getting off the ground. The community welcomed both of us with open arms.
Today I create in several forms through supporting online craft businesses, building a local nonprofit, sewing for fun and, most importantly, raising a good human.
